What to teach?

When I was first in conversation about this trip with CCM (that's the Cross-Cultural Missions department of the Churches of God General Conference), I was happy to hear that I'd have an opportunity to do some teaching while in Venezuela. Teaching the Bible is definitely my passion! But the question now is, what will I teach?

Last week, I received an email saying perhaps I could do some children's programs. I have done children's ministry in the past, but it's really not my area of giftedness. I responded that I could do that, but it's really not my forte. One of the coordinators who knows me agreed with that. So the next email I got suggested that I, along with another person, lead a talk to a singles group! I had to laugh at that one - I've been married for 9 years and seriously dated my husband for about 3 years before that... I haven't really been "single" since I was 18 years old! The other person who may be leading the singles session is married for many years with a kid in college and another in high school. I'm not sure we're the best people to teach such a session, but I guess we'll give it a shot!

More on that as it develops... :)
